Who we are
We are Finch Building Limited, a company registered in England under the company number 15176594. We offer building, construction and related services to residential clients around Kent and the South East of London.

What personal data we collect
When you visit the Finch Building website (finchbuilding.com) we actually only collect a very limited amount of data – but some of it may be considered personal data under the relevant legislation, and therefore we wish to be clear about what we do with the data.
Technical information
When you visit a page on our website, our servers will store a log of some very basic technical information (such as your IP address, the browser you are using). These logs are used for technical and security purposes (such as identifying suspicious patterns of activity, or investigating technical faults). None of this data can be used to identify you as an individual, and we would not seek to attempt to use it in that way.
We consider that the storage of this type of data is necessary for us to be able to operate our business in a secure manner. You cannot opt out of this type of logging.

Contact Forms
If you send us a message via a contact form, we will use the data that you submit on that form to respond to your enquiry; we will not use it for anything else. We will never release that information to anyone else without good reason (such as a legal obligation) or your permission.
We also use Google reCAPTCHA, a service provided by Google, to protect our contact forms from malicious and spam submissions. The privacy details of this third party service are available via the reCAPTCHA link in the bottom right corder of the contact page.
Where your data is stored and who has access
Our website servers are based in the UK, and therefore any data stored on those servers (such as technical logs) will not pass outside the UK. We operate secure, ISO-27001-compliant data centres.
Only our technical suppliers (such as our website maintenance and support teams) have access to those servers, and we have conducted suitable due diligence in relation to those third parties.
Your rights
In the situation where you have directly provided personal information to us (such as by completing an online form or contacting us for further information), you have a number of rights regarding the personal data that we hold:
- You have the right to obtain from us confirmation about whether any such data is being held;
- You have the right to require that we provide you with whatever data we are holding/processing about you, including the right for that data to be transferred to another data controller;
- Even if you have consented to Us processing your personal data, you have the right to withdraw that permission at any time;
- You have the right to require us to rectify any incomplete or incorrect information held about you;
- You have the right to require us to erase the data held about you (the ‘right to be forgotten’);
In the situation where we collect personal data automatically (such as from your internet browser or via internet Cookies or other similar technologies):
- You have the right to object to the legal basis upon which we are collecting this data, and We have an obligation to consider and respond to that objection;
- You have the right to request the prevention of further processing of your data while your objection is considered;
- You have the right to make a complaint to the relevant data protection authority (which, in the UK, is the Information Commissioner’s Office or ‘ICO’)
In most circumstances, you can exercise these rights without paying a fee to us.
